Title: Abused Domestic Workers in Europe : The Case of Au Pairs
Abstract
This study analyses au pair arrangements in six EU Member States (Denmark, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain) through descriptions of national and international legal frameworks and practices of au pairing. The findings show different patterns of au pair migration and different situations of au pairing as well as different strategies to protect the au pairs. The overall recommendation is to separate current au pair immigration into two programmes: one of cultural exchange and one of domestic and care work. [European Parliament]

Title: Active inclusion of young people with disabilities or health problems : National report - Denmark
Abstract
Denmark is a welfare society. The current aspiration of Danish disability policy is equal treatment for all, regardless of physical or mental capacity. This objective is the result of an evolutionary process, the effect of which is that people with disabilities are increasingly integrated into society and into the open labour market. In Denmark, labour market policy is targeted at integration and retention. Based on the principle of compensation, society offers people with disabilities a range of services in order to limit the consequences of impairment as much as possible and also to provide disabled people, as far possible, with equal opportunities on the open labour market. The social system therefore offers a combination of income protection and employment activation. [Lena Steen]

Abstract
This study about legal and commercial guarantees, funded by the European Union in the frame of the EU Consumer Programme (2014-2020), looks at the extent to which sellers are aware of, and comply with, relevant EU legislation; the way in which legal and commercial guarantees are communicated to consumers; and the extent to which consumers are aware of their rights and are willing to make use of them. The study also seeks to provide a better understanding of the way consumers perceive commercial guarantees and their impact on purchasing decisions. The study covers all EU Member States, Iceland and Norway. Between September 2014 and August 2015, the following activities were carried out: a regulatory review of the implementation of the Consumer Sales Directive; consultations with retailers, manufacturers, consumer bodies, ECC-net, ADR bodies and enforcement authorities; an online consumer survey measuring consumers’ experience with legal and commercial guarantees; an online behavioural experiment consisting of a choice and willingness-to-pay experiment as well as a comprehension test; a mystery shopping exercise replicating consumers’ experiences when it comes to seeking information regarding legal and commercial guarantees, and executing their rights; and a price collection exercise recording commercial guarantee prices for four different consumer good categories.[Author vide copyright]
