Title: Structures of Education, Vocational Training and Adult Education Systems in Europe : Norway ; 2003
Abstract
Structures of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe For anyone trying to understand the general organisation of education systems in Europe, these monographs set out in some 40 pages for each country, full basic and regularly updated information on its own particular system. Devised in accordance with a common framework, they provide conveniently for inter-country comparison. The monographs describe the various levels of education from pre-primary to higher education, and initial vocational training whether provided exclusively in a school or other educational institution, or in the form of alternated work and training. Each level of education has its own concise description concerned primarily with its admissions procedures, duration, curriculum, methods of assessment and teacher training. These monographs have been produced by EURYDICE in close collaboration with the members of the CEDEFOP REFER Network and the national observatories of the European Training Foundation. [Urheber s. Title: Labour Market Policy: Qualitative Reports - Norway 2001
Abstract
The Qualitative Reports of the Labour Market Policy (LMP) database give a succinct description of each one of the labour market policy measures included in the database. All reports - one for each country - have the same structure: Part A includes the Inventory of measures, i.e. the list of all measures regrouped by category. Part B presents each measure in three main sections: Identification, Description, and Supplementary information. The three sections contain the most relevant information concerning each measure. The Descriptions contain seven sub-sections: Aim, Beneficiaries, Action/Instrument, Financing/Support, Eligibility, Legal basis, and Recent changes. The Supplementary Information contains information concerning the target groups, the conditions for participation and other characteristics of the measure. The qualitative reports allow the user to understand what hides behind the figures on expenditure and participants collected in the LMP database, and therefore should be considered as complementary information to the publication 'Labour Market Policy - Expenditure and Participants - Detailed Tables'. Title: Work environment continues to improve
Abstract
In 2006, Statistics Norway conducted the sixth Level of Living Survey: Working Conditions, which outlines the general situation of workers and workplaces in Norway and charts trends in working conditions. The survey results indicate that levels of exposure to physical risk factors are generally low, although the proportion of workers experiencing repetitive movements at work has increased. The findings also reveal that employees have high levels of job demands and job control, and good opportunities for professional development. [Author vide Copyright]

Title: Perceptions of globalisation: attitudes and responses in the EU
Abstract
This report explores the employment impact of globalisation and reviews the attitudes and responses of national governments and the European social partners to this phenomenon. It first looks at the attitudes of the different stakeholders in the 27 Member States of the EU, including Bulgaria and Romania which joined the EU on 1 January 2007, as well as Norway. It then examines the responses of governments, employers and trade unions in these countries to the process of globalisation. Finally, the report gives a brief overview of national surveys of public opinion on globalisation which have been carried out in recent years. [Author vide Copyright]

Title: EU competencies affecting the Arctic
Abstract
The study will examine the legal competences of the EU - after the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty - to influence the development of the Arctic. The particular emphasis of the study will be on the role the European Parliament plays in decision-making in various Arctic-relevant policy areas. The report will address both internal and external competences as well as the consequences of the EEA Agreement for the implementation of EU legislations in Iceland and Norway. The study is structured into two parts. The first part looks into the general principles of competence sharing between the EU and its Member States, as well as the role of the European Parliament in post-Lisbon EU decision-making. The second part examines in more detail eleven sectoral policy areas: what legal competences the EU has in each, what are the legal consequences for Iceland and Norway via the EEA Agreement and what is the role of the European Parliament in EU's decision-making over the development of these various policies in the Arctic. Title: Löhne in Europa im 21. Jahrhundert : Zusammenfassung
Title (other): Pay in Europe in the 21st century : executive summary | Rémunérations en Europe au XXIe siècle : synthèse
Abstract
Liechtenstein and Norway ; Including summaries in English, French and German
