Inhaltsverzeichnis (?)This briefing note will begin by describing the country characteristics of Bangladesh that make it particularly vulnerable to climate change, be fore outlining the main climate change impacts that are of concern to Bangladesh. These impacts will then be discussed in relation to their adverse effects on different sectors. Finally, the national and international policy responses to manage these effects will be outlined, including actions that that mitigate the impacts of climate variability in general, as well as those that target climate change specifically. This evaluation covers Trade-Related Assistance (TRA) provided by the EU from 2004 to 2010. Abstract
This evaluation aims to assess the extent to which the European Commission’s (EC) assistance has been relevant, efficient, effective and sustainable in producing the expected impacts in the education sector. Moreover, the evaluation also assesses co-ordination and complementarity with other donors and actors, coherence with the relevant EC policies and partner Governments’ priorities and activities, and with international legal commitments in education. The objective of this study is to contribute to an ongoing background analysis, building on work already carried out within and outside of the European Commission with respect to engagement in the garment sector to support sustainability in the garment industry.
