Abstract
Die Europäischen Dokumentationszentren (EDZ) katalogisieren seit Ende des Jahres 2003 elektronische Volltexte aus allen Politikbereichen der Europäischen Union. Die Erfassung der Dokumente erfolgt über eine im Rahmen des DFG-Projekts „Gemeinsame Verbunddatenbank für Internetquellen (VI)“ entwickelte zentrale Erfassungsmaske, wobei die EDZ als Kooperationspartner beteiligt sind. Ziel des EDZ-ArchiDok-Projekts ist eine systematische Erschließung relevanter, elektronischer Publikationen, die auf Internetseiten von Organen und Institutionen der Europäischen Union zu finden sind. Diese Volltexte werden von den entsprechenden Internetseiten der EU auf einen zentralen Dokumentenserver der Universität Mannheim kopiert und dort in eine von den EDZ entwickelte Datenbank importiert. Die ArchiDok-Datenbank ist auf einem Mannheimer Server abgelegt und frei im Internet recherchierbar. [gemäß den Informationen des Anbieters]

This report gives an overview of working conditions, job quality, workers’ health and job sustainability in the media and communications sector. It is based mostly on the fifth European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS), which gathers data on working conditions and the quality of work across 34 European countries. Additional information on the structural characteristics of the sector is derived from Eurostat data. The fifth EWCS contains responses from 822 workers in media and communications.
