Title: Die Stellung der Fremdsprachen in den europäischen Bildungssystemen (1999/2000)
Title (other): The position of foreign languages in European education systems (1999/2000) | La place des langues étrangères dans les
systèmes éducatifs européens (1999/2000)
Abstract
[Urheber s. These include the age at which language teaching begins, the number of languages taught and whether the teaching is compulsory or optional at pre-primary, primary and general secondary levels. The study also provides information on pilot projects. They are accompanying a much broader and in-depth study published in 2001 on foreign language teaching in schools.

Abstract
[Urheber s. The publication offers a comparative overview of progress in achieving the main aims of the Process, namely the structuring of courses into 2 cycles, the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), the issue of a Diploma Supplement, and measures to support quality evaluation and lifelong learning. This is followed by descriptions of the current situation in 29 countries, each consisting of a survey of reforms undertaken as part of the Bologna Process and a diagram illustrating the various paths through the main fields of study in 2003/04. Each diagram indicates whether or not there is selection at the point of entry to courses, the length of individual cycles, the qualifications obtained and the names of the types of institution offering those courses. Terms used in the diagram are in the language of the country concerned.

Abstract
[Urheber s. After looking back at how the concept has been defined and developed, the survey analyses initiatives at all levels of the education system (pre-school, compulsory, upper secondary and higher education, as well as adult education).

Abstract
[Urheber s. Devised in accordance with a common framework, they provide conveniently for inter-country comparison. The monographs describe the various levels of education from pre-primary to higher education, and initial vocational training whether provided exclusively in a school or other educational institution, or in the form of alternated work and training. Each level of education has its own concise description concerned primarily with its admissions procedures, duration, curriculum, methods of assessment and teacher training. These monographs have been produced by EURYDICE in close collaboration with the members of the CEDEFOP REFER Network and the national observatories of the European Training Foundation. Title: Structures of Education, Vocational Training and Adult Education Systems in Europe : Bulgaria ; 2003
Abstract
Structures of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe For anyone trying to understand the general organisation of education systems in Europe, these monographs set out in some 40 pages for each country, full basic and regularly updated information on its own particular system. Title: Structures of Education, Vocational Training and Adult Education Systems in Europe : Iceland ; 2003
Abstract
Structures of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe For anyone trying to understand the general organisation of education systems in Europe, these monographs set out in some 40 pages for each country, full basic and regularly updated information on its own particular system. Title: Structures of Education, Vocational Training and Adult Education Systems in Europe : Malta ; 2002/03
Abstract
Structures of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe For anyone trying to understand the general organisation of education systems in Europe, these monographs set out in some 40 pages for each country, full basic and regularly updated information on its own particular system. Abstract
Structures of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe For anyone trying to understand the general organisation of education systems in Europe, these monographs set out in some 40 pages for each country, full basic and regularly updated information on its own particular system. The monographs describe the various levels of education from pre-primary to higher education, and initial vocational training whether provided exclusively in a school or other educational institution, or in the form of alternated work and training.
