Title: Breaking the barriers: romani women and access to public health care
Abstract
This project aims to build upon on the findings of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM) Report on the Situation of Roma and Sinti in the OSCE Area (April 2000). Specifically, the inadequacy of available information relating to this self-evidently important subject merited a substantial study and report with a policy orientation. As such, the project sought to reveal and understand better the situation of Romani women with regard to the vital subject of health care, to examine it in terms of applicable standards and the genuine needs of the population, and to draw appropriate conclusions and to propose practical recommendations. The project thus sought to stimulate the interest and action of others, especially governments, and to contribute momentum to a nascent European-wide movement of Romani women for their own empowerment as free and responsible citizens. Title: Health Services in the EEA
Abstract
Health policy has traditionally been an area governed principally by the law of individual member states. There is a general consensus among the member states and also the European Union (EU) institutions that this should not fundamentally change in the future. Despite a general acceptance of that principle, member states had also to realise that establishing an internal market - i.e. freeing the movement of goods, persons and services - requires at least to some extent a common approach - be it through the coordination of national policies or, in specific cases, even through harmonisation. Healthcare is no exception. [Professor Dr. Dominik Hanf]

Title: Indicators of Immigrant Integration 2015 : Settling in
Abstract
This publication presents the first broad international comparison across all EU and OECD countries of the outcomes for immigrants and their children. It is the fruit of a joint co-operation between the European Commission (DG Migration and Home Affairs) and the OECD’s International Migration Division, in the perspective of a regular monitoring of comparable indicators of integration across EU and OECD countries. This report has been produced with the financial assistance of the European Union. This publication builds on a first set of indicators presented for OECD countries in the 2012 OECD Publication “Settling In” and draws on the data and information gathered through its work on integration issues carried out by the OECD’s International Migration Division. It also benefited from data provided by Eurostat and specific data requests to EU and OECD countries. This publication would not have been possible without the support of the Delegates to the OECD Working Party on Migration who provided valuable support in the data collection for this report.
